Tea is beloved by people all over the world. Both green and black tea are made from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant. The key difference between the two is that black tea is fermented and green tea is not.

茶叶深受全世界人民的喜爱。绿茶和红茶都是由茶树的叶子制成的。两者的区别主要在于红茶是发酵而成的,而绿茶则不是。

To make black tea, the leaves are first rolled and then exposed to air to trigger the fermentation process. This reaction causes the leaves to turn dark brown and allows the flavors to heighten and intensify.

制作红茶时,先要将叶片揉捻,使其充分暴露在空气中,以促进发酵过程。发酵过程会使叶片变成深棕色,从而使茶叶的味道更加浓郁。

On the other hand, green tea is pan-fried to prevent fermentation and thus is much lighter in color than black tea. While green and black tea differ, they may provide some of the same health benefits.

反观绿茶,则是用平板上杀青,以防止茶叶发酵,因此绿茶的颜色要比红茶浅得多。虽然绿茶与红茶有所不同,但它们同样有益于健康。

Both green and black tea are rich in a group of protective antioxidants called polyphenols. Even more specifically, they both contain flavonoids, a subgroup of polyphenols. The flavonoids in both green and black tea are thought to protect your heart.

绿茶和红茶都富含一些被称为多酚的保护性抗氧化剂。具体而言,它们都含有类黄酮(多酚的一种)。人们普遍认为,绿茶和红茶中的类黄酮都对心脏具有保护作用。

And green and black tea both contain caffeine, a known stimulant. Green tea contains less caffeine than black tea — about 35 mg of caffeine per 8-oz (230-ml) cup for green tea, compared to 39–109 mg for the same serving of black tea.

绿茶和红茶都含有一种众所周知的兴奋剂——咖啡因。绿茶中所含的咖啡因比红茶少,一杯8盎司(约合230毫升)的绿茶大约含有35毫克的咖啡因,而同样一杯红茶则含有39-109毫克的咖啡因。

Caffeine stimulates your nervous system by blocking the inhibitory neurotransmitter adenosine. It also aids the release of mood-enhancing neurotransmitters such as dopamine and serotonin.

咖啡因通过阻断抑制性神经递质腺苷来刺激神经系统,它还有助于释放促进情绪的神经递质(如多巴胺和血清素)。

Now the difference. Green tea contains EGCG, an antioxidant which in test-tube and animal studies has been shown to fight cancer and bacterial cells and protect both your brain and liver.

那么,绿茶和红茶有什么区别呢。绿茶中含有儿茶素(一种抗氧化剂),试管实验和动物实验都表明,儿茶素能够对抗癌症细胞和细菌,并且能够保护大脑和肝脏。

But black tea contains beneficial theaflavins. Theaflavins are a group of polyphenols that are unique to black tea. Theaflavins are unique to black tea. Through their antioxidant effects, they may improve blood vessel function and support fat loss.

而红茶则含有有益的茶黄素,茶黄素是红茶中所特有的一组多酚类物质,它具有抗氧化作用,能够改善血管功能,并能促进减肥。

So green and black tea have similar health benefits, including for your heart and brain. Their antioxidant profiles differ, but while green tea may have more powerful antioxidants, scientific evidence does not strongly favor one tea over the other.

因此,绿茶和红茶对心脏和大脑有着类似的健康益处。它们所含有的抗氧化成分不同,虽然绿茶可能含有更强的抗氧化剂,但并没有足够的科学证据表明哪一种茶更具益处。
