NBA free agent Jeremy Lin has signed a contract with the Beijing Shougang Ducks to play in the new Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) season, the club said on Tuesday.
8月27日，北京首钢俱乐部官方宣布，球队签下了NBA自由球员林书豪。林书豪将代表北京首钢篮球俱乐部参加CBA联赛。
"Jeremy Lin can still compete in the NBA or other European teams, but he chooses to join us. It shows his confidence in us and is an honor. We sincerely welcome him and believe he will lead our team to progress," said Ducks club chairman Qin Xiaowen.
北京首钢篮球俱乐部有限公司董事长秦晓雯表示：“以书豪目前的实力，我相信他是能继续在NBA或其他欧洲强队打球的，但他选择加盟北京首钢男篮。这是对我们的信任，也是我们的荣幸，我们真诚地欢迎他，也相信他能带领球队进步。”
The 31-year-old had expressed publicly that he was open to moving to the CBA, and he was reportedly offered three million U.S. dollars per year in the contract.
这位31岁的球员曾公开表示，他对加盟CBA持开放态度，据报道，他的年薪为300万美元(约合人民币2000余万元)。
