The picture indicates the importance of perseverance. First of all, perseverance can help us carve out a way to success, although the way to success is bumpy and full of inevitable setbacks. Without perseverance, it will not be possible for Thomas Edison to succeed in producing the first electric lamp after numerous times of failure. Furthermore, perseverance enables us to achieve unthinkable feats. Helen Keller, though born blind and deaf, never lost heart and persisted in learning how to read and write in spite of great difficulties.Her efforts were rewarded with worldwide recognition and she became a famous writer.

The road to success is dotted with thorns. When being caught up in trouble, we should bite the bullet and stick to our efforts, and then our persistence will be handsomely rewarded. Just as what Benjamin Franklin once said, "Energy and persistence conquer all things."
