I am writing to apply for the well-known master program scholarship on Chemistry of your university，which I believe shall be awarded to promising young scholars like me.

I spent my undergraduate years in Peking University，one of China's top universities，majoring in Chemistry. I excelled at academic studies as a student and was offered a teaching position at Bei-jing Normal University upon graduation，where I worked for two years before deciding to get a master's degree abroad. Two of my former professors whose letters of recommendation are enclosed with this letter recognize me as endowed with talents and encourage me to take up further study.
