4月13日，中老铁路国际旅客列车开行。北京时间8时8分，中老铁路首趟国际客运列车从中国昆明驶出，向南而行，开往老挝首都万象。列车全程经停8个车站，包括铁路口岸通关时间在内的全程旅行时间为10小时30分。

The China-Laos Railway started cross-border passenger services on Thursday. The first passenger train departed from Kunming, capital of southwest China's Yunnan Province, at 8:08 a.m. (Beijing Time), heading for the Lao capital Vientiane.There are eight stations along the route, and the journey takes 10 and a half hours, including the time spent on going through customs.

【知识点】

中老铁路国际旅客列车采取朝发夕至运行模式，每日双向对开各1列，全程经停昆明南、普洱、西双版纳、磨憨、磨丁、琅勃拉邦、万荣、万象8个车站，包括铁路口岸通关时间在内的全程旅行时间均为10小时30分。列车使用动力集中型“复兴号”“澜沧号”动车组开行，较快运行时速160公里，编组9辆，其中动力车、一等座车厢和餐车各1辆，二等座车厢6辆，总定员720人。从昆明南站到万象站二等座票价为542元，一等座票价为864元。

此外，中老铁路国际旅客列车与普通旅客列车不同，分为国内段和国外段。国内段实行电子客票，旅客通过身份证购买，凭身份证进站候车。购买跨境车票的旅客需要使用护照，网上购买车票以后，到车站指定窗口换取纸质车票。中老铁路国际旅客列车采取“两地两检”通关模式。旅客一次出境、入境通关时间各需1.5小时左右。

2021年12月初，中老铁路全线开通运营，线路全长1000多公里，当年就实现了货运直通。此次国际旅客列车的开行，对于方便沿线民众出行、推动两国旅游等产业发展、促进两国经贸往来和共建“一带一路”发展具有重要意义。
