北京冬奥组委表示，需要观众在观赛前、观赛中、观赛后严格遵守新冠肺炎疫情防控相关要求，以在疫情防控安全的前提下为赛事顺利举办营造良好氛围。
2021年9月30日，北京冬奥会新冠肺炎疫情防控关键政策发布，明确不面向境外观众售票，仅面向境内符合疫情防控相关要求的观众售票。
