Generally speaking， I am open-minded, optimistic, andhard working . Four years' university education gives me a lot of things tolearn,a lot of chances to try,and a lot of practices to improve myself.I notonly learn a lot about my major,but also get much experience.I develop myinterest and ability to solve problems. In my spare time,I haveseveral hobbies .My favorite activity is swimming because I grew up in a smalltown near the seashore. Besides swimming, I also interested in climbing andplaying ping-pong. I think it is very important to keep balance between studyand leisure.

4)为什么想读研,将来愿意从事的方向,读研时的打算

Although I have acquired the essential knowledge of my major, I am not easilysatisfied with such superficial knowledge, because there is still too much Idon’t know. I will not be competent to do thingsprofessionally owing to lack of ample knowledge and ability. So I think furtherstudy is still urgent for me to realize self-value. It is necessary to seizeany chance for self-development, especially in this competitive modern world.This is a very important reason for me to take the postgraduate exams.

As is well known, Sichuan University is a famous university for its goodreputation of professional experts and high-level of teaching.Besides,thecampus environment and facilities are fine and satisfying , I am deeplyattracted by the scholarly atmosphere here ,which led my decision to make thischoice.

if luckily I am enrolled to learn composite material in Sichuan University, Iwill concentrate on the study and research in this field. First I will workhard to learn the theoretical knowledge, making a solid foundation for futureprofession; second I would like to do some practical experiments with the helpof my professor ,in this way I can get something that cannot be acquired fromthe textbooks. If possible, I will go on with my study for doctorate degree.

二、我的大学

Fujian Normal University is the oldest one in the province with a history ofover 100 years.It has been developing into a comprehensive university withefforts of generations, especially in the recent 30 years.We have a new campuswith almost all the facilities we need ,such as the computercenter,well-equipped labs, modern education technical center and so on。The library is brand-new, with a storage of 3 millions books. Ourprofessors are knowledgeable and extracurricular activities are colorful. In aword,I love my university.

三、家庭

There are six members in my family :my parents,my elder brother ,my two eldersisters and I.All of my brother and sisters have been married,so now I livewith my parents. My father is very king and easy-going. His love for me isunconditional. I am lucky because I have a good father .My father has been thirstyfor knowledge as he had only a few years of schooling homself. He believes thatthe knowledge can change fate. So,my father offered me every opportunity tostudy no matter how poor my family was. To sum up,my family is harmonious andour life is very happy.

四、家乡

My hometown is XXX. It’s not very large, witha history of 500 years and a population of 50 thousands. Unlike being in a bigcity,there isn’t much industry ,so it is a verybeautiful and lovely place to live in.There are some old teahouses, you canhave a cup of tea and chat there in the morning. And there is also a beautifulpark,which is called Zhongshan Park,people usully do exercises and go walkingin it. Its economy has been developing rapidly in the past twenty years. Newhouses,roads and bridges have been built. People in my hometown are very hardworking, friendly and honest. Although they are a bit conservative sometimes. Ina word ,I love my hometown very much.

五、大学生活

Generally speaking,I find my college life interesting and colorful ,it will bemy most excieting period of my life.And I should say that four-year academiclife would become one of most rewarding experiences in my life.Wehave chances to learn a lot of knowledge ,we have opportunities to develop ourabilities.We take part in seminars ,academic reports and some research work. Inthis way,we put what we learn into pratice.I also enjoy my leisureactivities,they are all very wonderful.

六、同学相处

We are getting on well with each other.Most of them are smart and considerate, butsome of them are kind of noisy and messy. Anyway ,I like them very much. Well, someof my roommates enjoy playing cards so much and they often keep me up late atnight.

七、学习情况

My scores are over average ,but I spent a lot of time in my part-time jobs. Iam not a very good student, but I like learning ,I always study hard.

1) 描述自己性格特征

Well, it’s hard to describe myself. I am a happyperson, quite optimistic and hard-working .I like helping others.

2)最大优缺点

Best quality: My best quality is I am able to work hard. I may not be the best,but I always try my best.

Least attractive characteristics: I am not an outward person, sometime I am shyto express myself.So if possible,I want to get rid of my timidity, be moresociable and make more friends.

3)音乐、运动

Music：I like pop music because it best expresses myfeelings and easy to understand.

Sport:I like sports because it brings health, which is the source of happiness.Besides,I can become mentally mature through doing some sports.

九、看过比较喜欢的书

I have read many kinds of books, among them I found “theold man and the sea”by Hemingway the most encouraging. Iwas deeply impressed by the old man’s persistence onnot giving up what he had been doing and his strong will to fight againsthardship and bad luck to realize his aims.From the book I learn success onlybelongs to those who are persistent, patient and not afraid of failure and difficulties.What I learn from the old man is that you never say no to failure and bad luck.The influence has still worked on me although I read the book ten years ago.

十、喜欢的运动

I like various sports,but Ping-Pong is my favorite.I often go to Ping-Pong clubto play it.It is so important to me that it already becomes part of mylife.Fist,it makes me physically strong.Second ,I make a lot of friends,whom Ilike to communicate with when in trouble.Playing table tennis makes me morequick-witted,and I really enjoy it my very much。

十一、喜欢的老师

My college English teacher is my favorite teacher.She is in her forties, andhas quite active personality. Unlike other teacher of her age,she knows wellenough the meaning of life and work,and has keen pursuit of both career successand life enjoyment.I admire the way she work and live.She is a successfulmother and a successful teacher.

十二、学习习惯

Generally speaking,I am a moring person.I like to get uo early in themorning,go out to breath the fresh air first,then do some reading aloud whilelistening to the bird singing with the red son in the east.I can memorize a lotof things in this way.In the afternoon, especially after class, I would like togo to the library to study. I like to find a corner in the reference room inthe library and enjoy studying alone there.

十三、学习中的困难

If you ask me the difficulty I have met in my study,I think English undoubtedlyis the most difficult, especially spoken English.I have learned English foralmost 10 years and I still have a lot of trouble with oral English .The biggestis that I cannot communicate with foreigners freely. I always want to translatewords in my mind. Though there are things need improving, I never lose myconfidence to overcome it. Practice makes perfect, I believe.

十四、英语学习的重要性

I think it is very important for us to learn a foreign language because life tempois really fast due to the rapid development of science and technology. English,the commonly used language in the world, is playing an increasingly importantrole in helping people to get to know such quick changes, and thecross-cultures of the world. Therefore I think to learn a foreign language ,especiallyEnglish, is vital and essential to people of the modern society.

十五、友谊与朋友

I think friendship is one of the most valuable things in the world, besideslove and life. One may have no brothers or sisters, but one cannot be withoutfriends. Sometimes, friends can help you more than you parents do. So I cherish friendship very much.
